Pinterest is an incredibly addicting website. Whether it's here to stay or a passing fad like many other sites, it definitely does it's job of drawing me in now. The problem is that I have 1,979 pins on 18 different boards and I have yet to put any of them to use, with the exception perhaps that my wedding board has given me a few ideas in the planning of my wedding so far. I have 363 food related pins, 311 DIY craft pins, 148 pins on hair, skin and nails, 84 pins on practical tips you can do to save money or make daily tasks easier as well as pins on weddings, date ideas, pets, home decor, humor, art, nerd-om, fitness, cute animals, and gardening. I seem addicted to pinning cool ideas and websites never to go back and look at them again, which is what I thought was the point of Pinterest. If you aren't going to use the links you pin, then what is the point to pinning them in the first place?
My goal is to actually try some of the many projects, recipes, beauty tips, and money saving ideas I've saved. I want to spend less time in front of the computer (I work on one 40 hrs a week, do I need to stare at one all the time at home too?) and more time on other pursuits. I will endeavor to chronicle my progress and results on this blog. :) I want to make my Pinterest boards worth while! Here we go.
